Lord of the Flies, Chapters 7-9
Write down five points worthy of reflection and class discussion IN YOUR LITERATURE NOTEBOOK, which you must bring with you to class.
Underline all words you do not know and write down their definitions.
Highlight at least three meaningful, beautiful, or effective passages.
U.S. History: due Monday, October 5, 2009
Complete Chapater 2, section 2 and read the Declaration of Independence.
Research England’s Prime Minister William Pitt and prepare for a debate on whether the American Revolution would have occurred had Pitt’s recommendations been followed. Michael will take the position that the Revolution was inevitable. Caroline will argue that Pitt might have successfully avoided the revolution. Bring with you to class an outline of your arguments along with citations in the MLA style to your supporting material. You will need to cite at least three separate sources.
