Student Movement

Hi! I am Celeste Miller and I will be working at the Atlanta School this year bringing dance/movement to the students. I have been working professionally in the field of dance as a tool for learning for over twenty-five years. My work is known nationally, and is part of an ever growing body of evidence that shows that the kinesthetic learning mode addresses a wide variety of learners. In addition, students learn to build skills in the areas of cooperation, community-building, and also conceptual, creative and expressive thinking. As you might be gleaning - this dance approach is a little bit different from learning steps! The students will be engaged as composers of movement that expresses both abstract and conceptual understandings of themselves and the world around them. I am thrilled to be at The Atlanta School - and am the proud parent of Alexandra McColl who was at TAS for her Middle School years.
