3/4 Class Newsletter
Posted October 9th, 2009 by Stacia Farabee
Dear Parents,
*We had another full week in the 3/4. Although the week started off rainy, I think we made the best of it by going out to “Sensations.” Boy did we have a great time there. We have talked a lot about visiting in the future. The cost of the trip was $10. Please send the money with your child if you have not done so already.
*Many of our students are complaining of hunger by 9:00. Please be sure your child is getting enough breakfast. It may be helpful to pack a “breakfast” for them to eat on the playground or in class. We don’t mind them eating all morning, but many of their lunches are disappearing before lunch. Also, some of them are complaining about not having enough to eat at lunch. You may want to start packing an extra protein. This class seems to be constantly hungry!
*Our policy on food sharing:
There are a few concerns about the children sharing food. If you do not want your child to share food (either give it away or accept) please talk with your child about this. We do remind students to follow their parental rules. We ask that the students that are not accepting the food say, “No thank you.”
*The upstairs elementary classes are in need of a microwave. We have one to share between the 1/2 and 3/4 and it is about to bite the dust.
*Our amazon list is still up and running if you know of anyone wanting to donate something to our class. We are also in need of table wipes, note cards, disposable plastic spoons, and plain copy paper.
